Our Vision And Values

“Shaping Versatile And Creative Global Citizens”

Central to our core beliefs, actions, with a combination of Montessori & Reggio-inspired philosophy is the profound recognition and reverence for young children as singular, capable, and inquisitive learners. Within our preschool, students and teachers unite each day to delve into exploration, generate ideas, forge connections, and collectively construct a deeper understanding of the world that surrounds them.

The Legacy Of Piet

Mondrian

A long time ago…
A hundred years ago, as the new born 20th Century was stretching its limbs and coming to life, the painter Piet Mondrian found a new simplicity in his work.
Using only red, blue and yellow, bound simply by starlight lines, Mondrian freed his paintings from the unnecessary clutter of appearances, and focused instead on the simplest truths. Lines and colours cannot be captured; they go on and on, in all directions, forever.
Like the magical simplicity of three basic colours 🟥 🟦 🟨 which come together in many, refreshing ways to make the colours of the rainbow and all the beautiful shades that lie in between, the building blocks of our philosophy at Mondrian House are simply – to experience, to share and to learn, so that every individual makes their own unique path to learning.

A learn by doing

kind Of School

Mondrian House gives children the unique opportunity to engage with each other in an environment of freedom and trust, allowing them to flourish creatively, intellectually, and socially. We nurture the child’s potential, allowing their inherent maturity and joy of learning to emerge from their own will.

What Do We

Believe?

Learner Knows Best, You Know

We present environments children are immediately drawn to, and with the right encouragement, children teach themselves through trial and error, and repeated explorations make the learning permanent. After all, learning happens within the learner, and only the learner knows best what and how to learn.
FREE TO FLY : Children at Mondrian House are freed from the constraints of a rigid syllabus, strict text book references, quantitative marking systems and examinations, not to mention the usual competition and pressure, whether subtle or blatant
GET READY. GET SET : A wide range of activities prepare the children in essential reading, writing and arithmetic skill through special activities, games, and work cards. From self expression through painting, clay modelling, and collage-making, to exploring the body, playing with manipulative toys and puzzles, to stories, songs and poems, the child relates to the world as holistically as possible.
GET YOUR HANDS DIRTY : Education is a pursuit after curiosity, a hands- on exploration of the world that gives students the courage to take risks, to face challenges and find the positive energy in life. And at Mondrian House, the teacher facilitates and aids the student’s process of understanding and learning.

TAILORED FOR EACH THEME

Facilitators keep the learning requirements of each project closely in mind and create in-house teaching aids tailored for each theme. The work cards help the children to explore, learn and practice the concepts in greater depth and understand the phenomenon from different perspectives.

teacher support

and

parent involvement

Teachers at Mondrian House are given the very best support, with regular workshops with education consultants from across India discussing aspects of our philosophy, methods and approach. In fact, it’s essential that all our teachers take our Refresher Course before beginning their interaction with the children.
Parents are urged to take part in their child’s school life as intimately as possible, to observe and understand their child and be aware of their needs. And so, we’ve created space and opportunity for parents to come to Mondrian House and immerse themselves in this environment of joyful exploration. Regular workshops with parents are conducted for achieving this goal.
